Jurapics — L'Utopic

Saint-Claude, wedged between the gorges of the Bienne and Tacon rivers, is the launchpad for five successive loops that make up L'Utopic. Each loop departs from the village aid station, each takes a different line through the forested limestone relief of the Haut-Jura. After five circuits: 80 kilometers and 5,000 meters of elevation gain. An open format that offers choice: stop after one loop, two, or push all the way within the 18-hour cutoff.

The Jura is not a spectacular mountain range — no bare peak, no glacier. But its dense forests, shadowed combes, wind-scoured plateaus, and particular quality of light create concentrated endurance terrain where the loop repetition tests the mind as much as the legs. ITRA certified, L'Utopic runs July 12, 2026 in Saint-Claude, with a headlamp start at dawn.
