About Marathon du Mont-Blanc
The Marathon du Mont-Blanc is the iconic late-June trail festival in Chamonix. The event gathers seven formats — from the KM Vertical time-trial to the 90 km du Mont-Blanc, through the Marathon, the Cross, the 23 km, the 10 km and the MiniCross —, with a historic finish on Place du Triangle de l'Amitié.

What is the distance of the Trail du Mont-Blanc?
The Trail du Mont-Blanc covers 42 km with 2,500 m of elevation gain, starting from Chamonix in Haute-Savoie. A marathon trail in the legendary Mont-Blanc massif setting.

How do I register?
Registration is available online on the official website. Due to the race's popularity, spots fill up very quickly. A medical certificate and ITRA points may be required.
What mandatory gear is required?
Mandatory gear is strict: water reserve (1.5L minimum), charged phone, emergency blanket, whistle, waterproof jacket, warm clothing, gloves, hat, and headlamp. The complete list is on the official website.
What are the cut-off times?
Cut-off times are enforced at each aid station. The mountain terrain difficulty is taken into account. Runners must meet every checkpoint time.
Is crew support allowed?
Crew access zones are available along the course, including in Chamonix. As Chamonix is an international trail destination, goodborning is especially useful for foreign runners looking for a local assistant.
